Playscripts/Screenplays
SuperScript gladly undertakes developmental work for playscripts and for screenplays.
With SuperScript, you may have up to three consultations per script. For playwrights and screenwriters who are clear that they want just a single consult, as opposed to a developmental series, SuperScript charges $150 for a one-time session.
Subsequent meetings are $125 per consult. In this arrangement, we devise a schedule that allows for a close exploration of the current draft and up to two rewrites. In this way, we can respond to your revisions through three different versions. These consults can happen in person, via e-mail, or by phone.
For theater, the consultations will include discussions of where the script should be submitted for workshop and/or production consideration, since sometimes those goals have an impact on the actual playwriting. Screenplays have their own conduits and therefore require a different kind of discussion altogether.
Unlike a novel, which may take years to reach the submission stage, playscripts and screenplays can suffer from too much attention over too extended a period. Therefore we prefer not to consult on the same script more than three times, since diminishing returns tend to set in after that point.
